Twilight Midnight Sun: Book by book Comments

I loved this book!!!!! To me it was the best in the series, and it's neither complete or a proper part of the series yet lol
I loved hearing the Twilight book from Edwards point of view. It gives a whole new perspective on why he acted the way he did throughout the story. There was so much in it that we were unaware of in Twilight, as it was all in Bella's point of view. I loved hearing the things that he would hear when at school, and how frustrating it was not to be able to hear Bella. The confusion and need for her blood that drove him out of his town. You could feel everything that he felt, and really understand that he was not really trying to be bossy and overbearing, he really was just trying to keep her safe as he loved her more than anything in the world The descriptions were all done well because he had so much more information on everything that was going on. I loved the fact that he couldn't read Charlie's mind as well as other humans, that it was all a bit fuzzy for him. It shows us where Bella gets her shielding from, at least to some degree.
I really hope Stephenie Meyer finishes this one soon, as I really can't wait to see how the rest of Twilight through Edwards eyes plays out.
If I am honest I would love to read all the series from Edwards point of view, I think it would give everyone a massive insight into Edward and why he is the way he is. Sometimes overbearing, overprotective, controlling, chivalrous etc. I think it would be really interesting and to be honest better than all from Bella's point of view. Edward has been there done it drank the blood etc and I think he has a lot more to tell, and I for one would be most willing to read it. :)

I will review this better soon, still catching up on loads. Please bear with me. Thanks x

Twilight Breaking Dawn: Book by book Comments

Well what to say about Breaking Dawn, first off it was bloody long! I think in this book there was a lot of info that wasn't necessarily needed or wanted. The first chapter almost made me stop there, it was so boring and she could have slipped in almost any other chapter the fact that she had this super strong, tank can't wreck it car, we didn't need page after page about it lol
As for the rest of the story, I enjoyed it immensely. I loved the wedding, it brought me to tears. There was so much love at that ceremony, and not just from Edward and Bella, but from both sides of their families. Everyone was so excited, and Bella was so nervous but ready and sure about marrying Edward, and that is what it is all about. I loved Charlie's sincerity in the book, he was there for her all the way through and promised he would be no matter what, who knew just how hard a promise that would be to keep. I am a little unsure of the whole half-vampire half-human child though, as it doesn't really keep with the whole no bodily fluids concept that was kept throughout the series. I am extremely happy that they were able to have a proper honeymoon and have some time alone with no distractions. Isle Esme seems like a wonderful and beautiful island that I would love to visit someday. :)
Bella shows a brilliant strength once she realises that she is pregnant and considering she never really thought of being a mother or having kids, the fact that she is literally prepared to die for her unborn child is so maternal and heartbreaking that you just can't fault her. I hate that once again she is hurting not only Edward and Jacob now but the whole family including Charlie who is totally unaware what is going on and thinks she is deathly ill but unable to see her to at least say goodbye. The fact he is willing to see her even if she is contagious just goes to show how close they have come over the years, and how much he loves her, it hurt my heart for him.
I was very happy when Bella finally became a vampire, but I must admit I think the fact that she had next to no newborn trouble at all, was a bit out of sorts. I mean the whole way through the series we are told newborns are terrible and unable to control their thirst or thoughts. But Bella, of course just walks right in and without a care in the world bypasses the whole newborn stage in a day, sorry I don't buy that. Superhuman self control or not, I think we were left a little duped by that. I wanted to see a bit if wild Bella, trying to suppress her thirst and behaviour. I was glad that she was able to see Renesmee right away though. Especially with the rate of growth she had, if she had been a normal newborn she would have lost a lot of time with her. That is until they discover that she will live a long life. I was very sad when Alice and Jasper left. I kept trying to come up with a reason as to why they would abandon the family, especially at a time like that, and sadly I had the right answer in my head. My joy when they came back, and with help to stop the Volturi advance was in abundance. I was chuffed, as I knew they wouldn't leave them all to die, but the fact that Bella thought they would, really annoyed me.
Now the imprinting of Renesmee and Jacob...I honestly have to say that I am still not sure about that part. I understand that the relationship starts out brotherly and then progresses to friendly and then once she is older into lovers, but the thought of imprinting on a baby, still kinda makes me shudder. I am glad Renesmee had someone to look after her, who would put his life on the line no matter what, and any time that it's needed without a second thought, and will stay with her forever, but in theory she had that with the whole family and their friends in the end. They all were willing to fight for her, and to make sure she was safe. I don't know it's just a bit strange, but I can handle it :)
The drawback to the book was that there was no fight scene. I was actually kind of hoping there would be, at least a small one. The fact that they just stand there and have a chat, whilst Bella shields everything was a bit blah, but I loved the feeling of support that surrounded them from all sides.
I was so happy at the end though when they finally got their happy ending. Their forever, at least for now, has started. Who knows what will happen in the future. Maybe Stephenie Meyer will decide to write a follow up series, maybe focusing on the Wolves, or Renesmee and Jacobs story. I for one would read every single one of them. So in case you are reading this SM ...start writing. :)

I will write a better review soon, still lots to catch up on but I will do it soon. x

Twilight-Eclipse: Book by book comments

I absolutely loved Eclipse. The love triangle comes to life in many ways. There is a lot happening in this one, and a lot that is more behind the scenes that we aren't even aware of. Jacob still thinks he has chance with Bella and really tries his hardest to make her see that. I see it as being very childish myself. he is practically begging her to leave Edward. We all know she is destined to be with Edward and I hate that she keeps hurting him. The emotional side of this book is my favourite, for when she finally decides to tell Jacob once and for all that she has chosen Edward, I just want to curl up and cry with her. I feel for Jacob, I really do but wish he would just take a hint. I hate the part where he tells her he will commit suicide during the fight with the Newborn Army. I think that was his lowest point in the whole series, for he knew she didn't want him to die and that she did love him to some degree. To use that just to get her to kiss him, without fear of repercussion from her or Edward was just mean. Didn't her realise how much pain that would put her in? Edward always thinks about how things would make her feel and to me that is what a real man should do. Although saying all that Bella seems to think that she can have her cake and eat it, but why should she? She knows she hurts them both but keeps playing them like pawns. I think that part of the story is awful, she is being an a bad girlfriend and a lousy friend as well. I loved the proposal and the thoughts that were going through her mind before she answered, it shows that she does like the idea of marrying him against all her inner voices she just needs to remember that fact. How happy Edward is when she finally agrees makes my heart skip a beat, I love it!

Will write a better review soon, have a lot of catching up to do at the moment lol x

A quick glimpse into the last year Beg with ET8

Well where to begin! It has been a long time since I have been on, and for that I apologise. Things have been hectic over the year. We moved and have done a few things twilight related which definitely takes up a lot of time and energy. So first things first, after the Breaking Dawn pt 1 premiere we had already started planning for the next years premiere. Before that though, we went to our very first Twilight Convention, ET8 in Birmingham England! It was an absolutely brilliant weekend lasting for a whole weekend. My daughter, my son and I all went and got to meet a few of the stars from the films.
The guests that weekend were: Gil Birmingham, Peter Facinelli, Alex Meraz, Tyson Houseman, Kiowa Gordon, Daniel Cudmore, and Justin Chon. Having not met many celebs before I was a lot nervous. I was going basically alone to a hotel full of people (not my strong suit to begin with) not having any idea what I was doing, or was supposed to do lol Talk about terrifying. Luckily the kids were with me so they helped to break ice and get me through the nerves of meeting people.
Friday we arrived and once we got settled into the hotel we had a little wander around getting the feel for the place, we got our tickets for the convention and then went to get ready for the Opening Ceremony. We went to the ceremony where we caught a glimpse of the stars, and heard a few words about the weekend and what it would entail. The schedule was crazy with so many people and so many guests. We wouldn't have much time to do anything, much to my daughter's disappointment as she wanted to go swimming. The party that evening was wonderful. My son, 4 at the time played and danced and made some friends, he had a great night, and actually lasted longer than I thought he would. A few of the celebs came to the party that night and we said hi to a few of them.
The following day, Saturday was a bit hectic, we had photo shoots with the stars as well as autograph sessions. We were non stop almost all day, but all the guests were very sweet and treated everyone with respect and kindness. My son played under Alex Meraz's table, he wouldn't leave, Alex just laughed and said "He must be smelling my chocolate" as he held up a bag full of chocolate lol We talked to Gil Birmingham he shook my hand and gave us all hugs, he was a truly wonderful friendly man. Peter was very tired after a long flight, but he was very sweet and friendly, and told my daughter that she was very sweet and cute. The party that night was a good one again. Kids lasted longer than i thought they would and I got my picture taken with Tyson Houseman, he was very sweet. The kids were fascinated with Peter Facinelli and everytime he saw them he smiled at them, which made their day lol. x Somehow throughout the day, Gil got a bit attached to my son, which was great as far as my son was concerned. Everytime Gil saw him, he would call him by name and say hi and have a little chat. When he went in to get his photo taken with him Gil turned to him and said "A**** I was wondering when you were going to come see me" it was so sweet and my boy loved it, if I didn't know any better I swear he kinda fan-girled lol If we saw him outside he always made it a point to say hi to both the kids, and we even had a nice conversation with his lovely girlfriend Kimberley.
My daughter on the other hand, ended up having a blast with Peter. She ran into him in the hallway, she was trying to sneak up on him and say hi, but he came around the corner and surprised her so she bumped right into him, which worked in the end as he asked her if she wanted a picture, to which she replied with a hearty YES! It was a fantastic weekend, and we all had a lot of fun, especially my son. Even to this day he gets very excited and mentions "Gil in the black shirt" he adores him to no end. He loves seeing him on tv and tells everyone he met him lol He even asked for him for christmas, well for him to come and visit him at least, it was very cute :) All in all, it was a brilliant weekend and we all had a wicked time, and we couldn't wait to go to the next one. Will update more on the rest of our time soon :) x

Twilight-New Moon: Book by book comments

This has always been one of my favourites in the series. Although i did say in my earlier post that i liked it when Edward left just because it took a bit of my jealousy away, so not sure if that has anything to do with it lol
I loved the depth of the emotion that seeped through almost every page. The amount of details describing the pain that Bella went through and the pain she felt she was putting Jacob through really makes you live through it yourself. You can totally imagine the hole in her chest, and feel the aching around the edges and feel the agony of having to try and hold yourself together. If you are like me, you may have at some point, felt the same ache and longing for someone. The pain and loneliness that surrounds her in the first few months before becoming reacquainted with Jacob, is reminiscent to the few times that i myself have had my heart broken. It hurts reading her pain, having lived through it. You can totally appreciate where she is coming from and why she would be willing to risk her life just to hear his voice.
I love the way that Jacob helps to take away the pain, and make her smile and feel like living again. He is an amazing friend, and although he would like more, he tries really hard to make her happy and be there for her in whatever way she needs. We could all use a guy like that lol
I love how after the realisation that he is also different, she doesn't care, she still just sees him as her best friend Jacob and becomes very close with his family and friends. Her dad, Charlie loves the Black family and sees Bella getting better and healing and is very happy she has Jacob in her life to help her.
When she decides to tempt fate and jumps off the cliff, her life takes a surprising turn...for the better...or worse if you are Team Jacob or me and jealous lol....She rushes to Italy to save Edward from the Volturi and once back home resume the relationship as if nothing happened and they become stronger than ever. Much to mine and Jacob's dismay lol The only thing that i don't really like, is the way that Bella starts treating Jacob once Edward comes back and in a sense the way Jacob treats Bella as well. It is nice seeing Charlie take a more fatherly role once Edward comes back.
Although the rivalry that ensues once Edward returns, is a lovely stepping stone leading to the brilliant Eclipse :)
So i have been off here for a little while, and decided to catch you up on my twilight related escapades. On 15th November me and my daughter who was 10 at the time, spent the night camping, without a tent, outside a shopping mall in Westfield London. No we aren't homeless (at least not yet lol) we were waiting in line to see the Breaking Dawn Part 1 premiere and the Red carpet with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, plus a few other celebs. We managed to get right up against the barrier and had first class access to them all coming down the carpet. They all looked absolutely stunning albeit a little cold. I felt really bad for Kristen, she was wearing a gorgeous black dress with little skinny straps and a pair of lovely shoes...nothing else. She must have been freezing, but her smile never faltered and she signed as many autographs as possible before being ushered inside. Sadly she was unable to take many pictures but my daughter got her autograph and she said hi to me and told me she hadn't seen one of the pics i handed her and that she loved my other one :) Robert, ah Robert he looked sexy as always...and his smile was plastered in place the whole time he was outside, he looked amazing and treated as many fans as possible to pics and autographs. I have to admit, i missed getting his autograph as a lady ( i use the term loosely) stole my daughters spot up front so i gave her mine....much to my sadness as Rob was my whole reason for going ( it was my birthday and what better present than meeting Rob) but Rob being the gentleman that he is signed my daughters book with a big smile, and when she handed it to him again and asked him to sign it ( with his original autograph on the other side) he just smiled and winked at her and signed it again...after which she promptly took the page out and gave it to me ( it now sits in a frame on a wall with my other twilight items but definitely has Pride of Place ) I will post a picture of it, it has the light red circle around it :) My daughter is Team Jacob--I know, I know she must have been switched at birth lol, but her whole reason for going was Taylor so she was so excited when he showed up looking very sexy with a bit of stubble, she was squealing lol Although I had to admit that although i am Team Edward all the way, Taylor did look very dashing and was so sweet to everyone around him, constant smiles and laughter and as many pics and autographs as he could do. He commented that he really liked my pic,  my daughter was extremely happy that he came our way, and shouted his name over and over...he smiled at her gave her an autograph and stopped to allow a picture, he was so sweet he actually stood there for about a full minute whilst i tried to get the camera to stop shaking (some from my nerves and some from people bumping me lol) when i finally got it steady he smiled (well truthfully the smile never left) and allowed me to take 2 as the first one messed up again haha. My daughter was ecstatic, her smile was so big i thought she might freeze that way. Then she got another celebrity autograph that made her change her music tastes ( and all for the better) Pixie Lott was across from our barrier, and my kid didn't stop screaming until she came over to our side, and whilst she originally walked by with a huge smile, our friend took my daughters' book and practically shoved it in her face all the while my daughter is yelling at Pixie to Please sign her book, so Pixie looked back, gave her a huge smile signed it and handed it back to her. My daughter was made up! She got a few more autographs from some minor characters, as did i, I did manage to get Jamie Campbell-Bowerys autograph. He was very sweet, big smiles and commented on my photo :) yay me a few comments on my pictures and got to see some amazing and down to earth people. It was the absolute best birthday ever, and so worth sleeping in the cold. Only way to top it, is this year when we do it all again and i actually get my pic with Rob and his autograph, that would make my Twilight obsession so worth it! If i didn't love Twilight and the stars before, i definitely do now!!!!!!!!!
